When you have your own tanning bed at home, you are provided with the ability to work on your tan whenever you want to. Residential tanning beds can be an excellent addition to your home; however, there may be times when something goes wrong with your tanning bed as well. While in some cases a technician may be needed to help fix the tanning bed problem, in many cases there are a few trouble shooting things that you can do to figure out what the problem is, and in some cases you may be able to fix the problem yourself as well. The following are a few common problems that you may have and a few things that may be causing the problem with your bed.
When the Bed Won’t Turn On
One very common problem that may occur with residential tanning beds is that it will not turn on. When this occurs, there are several things to consider and to check out. One thing that may be causing this problem is that somehow you accidentally unplugged the bed or somehow the power supply is not getting to the bed. Another thing that could cause this problem is that your dial timer could have a lose wire at the end, which causes the bed not to turn on. A lose relay or a bad relay may also keep the bed from turning on as well.
If the Lamps Don’t Light Up
Another problem that may occur with residential tanning beds is problems with the lights. In some cases you may find that the lamps do not light up for you. There are several different things that could be causing this problem. Of course a very obvious problem that could cause this is a problem with the actual tanning lamps. In some cases a malfunctioning lamp holder may also cause this same problem. If the ballast or the starter malfunctions, you may also have a problem with the lamps failing to light.
When the Bench Lights Don’t Work
If you find that the bench lights are not working, there are a couple things that could be a problem. First of all, the problem may be as simple as your bench not being plugged in right to the canopy. In some cases a lose wire may also keep the lights in the bench of residential tanning beds from working as well.
Lamps Don’t Work but the Fan is Okay
There may be times when the fan is working great but you find that your lamps will not work on residential tanning beds. If this is the case, then there are a couple things to look for. One problem could be the relay; however, if this is not the problem, then you may have a wire problem that is keeping the lamps from working even though the fan appears to be working fine.
